The new leather care set with the leather cleaner and the leather sealant is the right choice for new, silky matt, surface-colored (a drop of water rubbed in does not absorb) smooth leather. It is the right care set for leather upholstery in vehicles, and for leather furniture including long-life leather and other leather upholstery.
If the leather is dirty, it should be cleaned before care (mild cleaner for normal dirt or strong cleaner for heavy dirt). This prevents dirt from fixing on the leather through care. The leather cleaning brush makes it easier to work with heavy dirt in the depths of the grain. New leather should be cared for with our leather sealant within the first three years.
New leather does not yet need any moisturizing care, but rather effective protection against signs of abrasion and wear and discoloration from clothing. The driver's seat in particular (entrance bolsters of sports seats and high support cushions) or the seats of light-colored furniture show signs of wear or dirt and discoloration within the first three years. The sealant effectively prevents this. 125 ml of leather cleaner in the foam dispenser bottle and 150 ml of leather sealant are usually enough to treat a complete interior or an entire set of furniture several times. The cleaner is only used on dirty areas and care is applied to all surfaces. If the surface is extremely dirty, a larger amount of cleaner may be required. This is only necessary in a few cases.
