    Mixed Results

    We have two new cars. I wanted to make sure both car's leather seats were protected. I heard very good things about Colourlock's products. I purchased several, but after hearing about their Top Life kit, I thought I should make the investment.

    The results varied relative to how the seats "looked" after cleaning and applying the kit. The RAV4 seats turned out very good. The Honda Civic Sport Touring seats were a mixed bag. The rear seats showed streaks after the first attempt. The front seats were less so.

    I cleaned the rear seats again with the Colourlock mild cleaner (and brush). The seats looked terrific after cleaning. I made sure they dried overnight (assuming they weren't sufficiently dry before the two applications from the kit). I took special care in applying the second attempt with the preapplication and sealant. Unfortunately, the results were better, but still streaky after the second attempt.

    I'm sure the product will protect the leather, but the mixed results for the price were disappointing.
