Tar & Glue Removers

Road tar, sticker glue, and tree sap won't come off with car wash soap. A tar remover uses solvents to soften them so they wipe away without hard scrubbing on your paint.

How to choose the right tar remover

  • Gentle tar remover: Koch-Chemie Teerwäsche A (Tea) removes tar and bitumen without being overly aggressive. It also removes adhesive residue from badges, stickers, and trim.
  • Coating-safe tar and glue remover: Gtechniq W7 Tar and Glue Remover breaks down road tar, glue, and adhesive and is safe on Gtechniq coatings like EXO, C1 Crystal Lacquer, and Crystal Serum.
  • Adhesive remover for cars: Koch-Chemie Eulex removes sticker residue, rubber marks, tree sap, overspray, ink, and tar from paint, glass, and metal, and flashes off without residue.
  • Scraper: the Koch-Chemie Scraper safely lifts film and adhesive from coated surfaces and plastics, and comes with 10 replacement blades.

Tips for removing tar and glue

Apply with a microfiber towel or applicator, give it a moment to work, and wipe gently. Wash the area afterward and add protection back if you removed any. Read our guides to removing tree sap and removing bugs. For iron and fallout, see iron removers.
