Entfetter Degreaser
Entfetter Degreaser is used for leather degreasing. This degreaser is a solvent-free product, both powerful and gentle on the surface at the same time. No color is dissolved during degreasing and is ideal for degreasing all types of leather.
Areas of Application
- Degreasing and removing product residues before repairs on smooth leather
- Degreasing seats, steering wheels, handles, knobs, furniture, handbag and suitcase handles, etc.
- Cleaning/degreasing "greasy" suede upholstery
- Degreasing collars on jackets before washing with leather detergent
- 30 ml are intended for degreasing steering wheels or handbag handles.
- 150 ml of Colourlock degreaser is sufficient to carry out the usual work on a furniture set or vehicle interior.
- 250 ml and 1 liter Colourlock degreaser is recommended for more extensive degreasing work or for multiple objects.
Application
Always test all products on a hidden or inconspicuous area before full application. While the COLOURLOCK Degreaser does not dissolve dyes, it may cause lightening on open-pored leather or if over-applied. For this reason, a patch test is strongly recommended.
To use, dampen a clean, soft cloth with the degreaser and gently wipe over the greasy areas. For plain, smooth leather, you can proceed with a thorough degreasing after testing. However, with open-pored leathers (such as suede, aniline leather, etc.), only a light pass with the cloth is advised to prevent visible marks or stains.
Allow the leather to air dry naturally—do not use a blow dryer. Be aware that not all greasy spots can be fully removed. Long-term buildup from skin or hair contact may have penetrated deeply into the leather, beyond what the degreaser can extract. In such cases, COLOURLOCK Grease Remover Spray may offer additional help. For large or stubborn grease stains, we recommend consulting a professional.
After using the COLOURLOCK Degreaser, it’s essential to recondition and protect the leather with a care product appropriate for its type.
