COLOURLOCK degreaser is used in various cases for degreasing. The degreaser is a
solvent-free product, yet powerful and gentle on the surface at the same time. No color is dissolved and is therefore ideal for degreasing all types of leather.
Areas of application:
• for degreasing smooth leather and removing care product residues before repairs for
professionals and end users.
• for degreasing greasy spots in the head and armrest area of furniture, steering wheels,
handles and gear knobs in vehicles, handles on handbags and suitcases, etc.
• for cleaning/degreasing "greasy" suede in furniture
• for degreasing greasy collars on jackets before washing with leather detergent
• for degreasing greasy areas before professional coloring in the workshop
30 ml are intended for degreasing steering wheels or handbag handles. 150 ml of
Colourlock degreaser is sufficient to carry out the usual work on a furniture set or vehicle
interior. 250 ml and 1 litre Colourlock degreaser is recommended for more extensive
degreasing work or for multiple objects.
APPLICATION
Always test all products in a hidden place first for changes! The Colourlock degreaser does not dissolve colours, but it can cause lightening in open-pored leather or if too much is used. It is therefore always a good idea to test beforehand. Moisten a clean, soft cloth with the degreaser and go over the greasy areas. Plain-coloured smooth leather can be thoroughly degreased after a test. On the other hand, with open-pored leather (suede, aniline leather, etc.) you should only briefly run the cloth over the leather to avoid marks and stains from the cleaning attempt. Always let the leather dry first. Do not blow-dry. Not all greasy areas can be completely removed. In particular, areas of skin or hair contact that have been very greasy over long periods of time cannot be completely
degreased with degreaser. The grease has then penetrated deep into the leather over
time and the degreaser cannot absorb it. In some cases, the grease remover spray can
also help. For large areas or heavy grease stains, you should seek professional advice
from us. After cleaning with the Colourlock degreaser, the leather must be cared for and protected again with a care product suitable for the type of leather. Note for regular customers: Everything that can be done with the Colourlock degreaser can now be done solvent-free with the COLOURLOCK degreaser.
