Smooth Leather Care Mild Cleaner & Protector Kit
The combination of Mild Leather Cleaner and Elephant Leather Preserver - a protective conditioning grease—is ideal for cleaning and maintaining leather handbags made from pigmented smooth leather or greased leather.
Mild Leather Cleaner
Mild Leather Cleaner is specifically designed for cleaning dirty, surface-dyed smooth leather. Packaged in a practical foam dispenser, it offers several advantages over traditional liquid cleaners:
- More effective cleaning through foam activation
- Lower product consumption
- Minimal moisture exposure, preventing the leather from hardening as it dries
Suitable for:
Surface-dyed smooth leather found on car interiors, furniture, handbags, suitcases, and similar items.
Coverage:
One 200 ml bottle is sufficient to clean an entire vehicle interior or a complete set of furniture.
Application Instructions:
- Always test the product on a hidden area to check for any adverse effects.
- Dispense the foam onto a sponge - never apply directly to the leather.
- Clean evenly from seam to seam.
- For heavier dirt, repeat the process as necessary.
- Wipe away any remaining dirt and foam with a slightly damp cloth, then let the leather dry completely.
Use Mild Leather Cleaner for regular dirt, and Strong Leather Cleaner for heavily soiled leather (e.g., barn finds or neglected surfaces). Regular cleaning prevents dirt from bonding to the surface, which helps maintain the leather’s appearance and integrity.
For deep-seated dirt within the grain, the COLOURLOCK Leather Cleaning Brush is highly recommended to boost cleaning performance.
After Cleaning – Protect & Condition
Once the leather is clean and dry, apply Elephant Leather Preserver to nourish the leather and protect it from drying, cracking, and wear. While Mild Leather Cleaner keeps the surface clean, the Preserver provides long-lasting protection and helps maintain the leather’s suppleness and natural look.
Additional Notes:
On older leather, some stains may have penetrated deeply or may actually be due to pigment loss rather than dirt. Such marks may not be removable with cleaners alone. In these cases, use Leather Fresh to restore the color, or seek professional advice
