Koch-Chemie Compounds/Polishes

Koch-Chemie compounds and polishes take paint from heavily weathered to a high-gloss finish, and most of the line is rated for scratch-resistant clear coats.

How to choose the right Koch-Chemie polish

  • Heavy correction: Heavy Cut H9.02 is a silicone-free compound that removes deep scratches, paint haze, and sanding marks up to 1,200 grit with minimal dust.
  • Medium correction: Fine Cut F6.01 removes wash marks, light scratches, and 2500-grit sanding marks from medium to heavily weathered paint.
  • Finishing: Micro Cut M3.02 removes holograms, fine scratches, and sanding marks up to P3000 grit and leaves a high-gloss shine, even on dark colors. Micro Cut & Finish P3.01 pairs the same P3000-grit correction with outstanding gloss.
  • One step: One Cut & Finish P6.02 cuts swirls, scratches, and oxidation and finishes in a single step, with a built-in high-gloss sealant.
  • Gloss and protection: P1.03 Lack-Polish Grun protects and refines new and like-new paint with deep gloss and color.

Build a polishing system

Start with the least aggressive polish that removes the defect, then step down to a finishing polish. Pair them with the right polishing pads and a RUPES polisher, and wipe off residue with soft polishing towels.

Before you coat, wipe each panel with Koch-Chemie Panel Prep Spray to remove polish residue and check for holograms. Compare every brand in compounds and polishes, or read our Koch-Chemie guide.
